En español

Greetings, I hope this message finds you well and safe. In this update, I share the latest updates on the City’s phased reopening, LaGuardia Airport, COVID-19 precautions, TLC Food Delivery, and the Driver Resource Center.

PHASE 3
New York City is preparing to enter the Phase 3 stage of reopening on July 6. Phase 3 openings include personal care services, such as salons and spas. This follows Phase 2 in New York State, which included vehicle sales, leases, and rentals, as well as offices, in-store retail, and outdoor dining. For the latest citywide information, please visit www1.nyc.gov.

LAGUARDIA AIRPORT
As of Saturday, June 13, 2020, Yellow Taxi Drivers can pick-up passengers at the New Taxi Stand at the Arrivals Level of LaGuardia Airport’s new Terminal B after being dispatched from P7. Passengers no longer need to take a shuttle.

COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS
TLC Licensees have always been essential workers. During the COVID-19 pandemic, our Licensees have been nothing short of heroic. TLC Licensed Drivers have delivered close to 42 million meals to date, helping many New Yorkers shelter in place. Our Drivers also provided for-hire transportation to medical and essential workers citywide. Many of our Licensees also continue to do their part to help NYC flatten the curve.
As NYC progresses to reopening, it is still very important for everyone to continue help stop the spread of COVID-19.

How You Can Prevent the Spread of COVID-19:

Stay home if sick, keep physical distance, keep your hands clean and wear a face covering.
All New Yorkers should get a COVID-19 diagnostic and antibody tests, whether they have symptoms or are at increased risk. Tests are free. Look for a testing site near your home.

DRIVER RESOURCE CENTER
The TLC Driver Resource Center offers a wide range of services. Financial counseling and legal assistance services at the Driver Resource Center are operated by Department of Consumer and Worker Protection’s Office of Financial Empowerment and are offered in collaboration with Neighborhood Trust Financial Partners and New York Legal Assistance Group.
How it works—Licensees can schedule one-on-one appointments with a financial counselor to manage money and create a spending plan, develop a strategy to minimize debt, draft letters to creditors to lower payments or suspend payments due to hardship, keep personal and business finances separate, access local, state and federal emergency resources, and much more.
Schedule an appointment today.

Sincerely,
